Manager, Risk Management

Responsibilities:
  • Risk management, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying and describing the risks affecting the Energy business
  • Risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the management such as costs and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain clear understanding of the businesses’ risk drivers and changes, and make recommendations for prudent risk management strategies
  • Establishing and quantifying business’ risk appetite, i.e. level of risk prepared to accept
  • Assumes independent role of assessing and reviewing the appropriate risk management infrastructure of the Company
  • Corporate governance involving risk reporting to stakeholders
  • Responsible for the daily monitoring and controlling of the market risks of the fuel oil and foreign exchange trading portfolios and hedging strategies, ensuring activities of the traders are in compliance with the approved risk management policies
  • Perform and report daily Market-to-Market valuation and update portfolio and trading limits, and take appropriate actions to mitigate any non-compliance of volumetric limits or stop-loss limits
  • Facilitate risk assessment workshops and implement risk awareness programmes within the organisation
  • Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Degree in Economics/Accountancy/Finance/Commerce
  • Minimum 5 years of risk management and relevant business experience
  • Experience with risk management, good business judgment and good communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of energy-related industry is desirable
  • Meticulous and good analytical and numeracy skills
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Possess a high level of professional integrity and ethics
